Kotoko paint Babayara red ahead of Zesco crunch game

Some group of supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been decorating the Baba Yara sports stadium with Kotoko flags and colors ahead the Kotoko – Zesco United showdown next week Wednesday. The two African teams do battle on Match-day Two of the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup. The Porcpunie Warriors suffered a slim defeat at Al-Hilal who won 1-0 but Zambian side Zesco United recorded a moral boosting victory over country rivals Nkana FC and head to Kumasi with full confidence.

Ashanti Gold SC left back Roland Amouzou has wished Habib Mohammed well as the youngster starts another professional stint with Asante Kotoko. Mohammed penned a three-year deal with the Confederation Cup campaigners last Thursday in Kumasi and has been registered for the African competition. Amouzou and Habib Mohammed shared the dressing room together in Obuasi. “Habib is a a good player and I wish him well in his next adventure. Asante Kotoko head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has jumped to the defence of striker Songne Yacouba by saying goalscoring is not an exclusive responsibility of strikers in his team.
