Black Queens displayed a resolute defence and some steely nerves  in dispatching Mali in a 8-7 penalty shootout to claim bronze at the WAFU Women’s Cup. Following a barren first stanza, the two sides pushed for the initiative in the second half but failed to convert the plethora of chances they had as the game ended in a stalemate. The Black Queens of Ghana thumped Togo 6-0 in their second group game of 2019 WAFU Women’s competition on Friday.
