Ghana Winger Christian Atsu has disclosed he’s ready to return to the Black Stars when called upon.
Atsu has been absent from the Black Stars for nearly two years with the winger recently explaining the reason behind his absence.
Whilst widespread reports have suggested the winger wasn’t open to playing for the black stars again, he has debunked such claims revealing he’s open to a return when called upon.
“Now, listen, we the footballers, right, it is a great honour for us to play for the national team.” – Atsu told 3sports.
“So for me, I will be honoured. When I’m fit and I am playing and I deserve to be called into the Black Stars, I will be honoured to come and play.” – he further added.
Atsu is on the path to rebuilding his career having been on the peripherals at Newcastle in the just-ended season.
The winger recently signed for Saudi Arabian side Al Raed where he’s expected to light up the league.
