Zone Two leaders Bibiani Goldstars have been crowned winners of the zone after their solitary win over Wassaman in the ultimate match of the season in the Division One League.

The Green and Yellow side will be playing in the Ghana Premier League for the first time in the history of the club, as well as their community.

Kobina Amissah’s side had won the league with about 5 games to go after leading the table for almost the entirety of the second round of the league.

With the 1-0 win over Wassaman being the icing on the cake, the Zone Two champions have been given a giant trophy, 30 gold medals and a cash prize of ₵50,000.

Member of the Division One League Board; Eugene Noel Nobel and Gideon Fosu, and the Competitions Manager of the GFA Sena Akoto Ampaw were in Bibiani to hand the medals, trophy and dummy cheque to the management of Goldstars after the game with Wassaman.

In addition, Goldstars will be given an extra ₵25,000 by the Ghana Football Association to prepare for the upcoming Premier League season.
