Ghanaian midfielder Augustine Boakye has revealed he was unable to achieve his target for the just-ended Ghana Premier League season.
The highly-rated creative midfielder is rated as one of the best players in the just-ended Ghana Premier League campaign following his scintillating performance in the 2020/21 season.
The midfielder enjoyed a stellar campaign in the 2020/2021 season where he produced 21 goal involvements (12 assists and 9 goals) as WAFA finished 3rd in the league.
While many have clamoured for the talented midfielder to be crowned player of the season, Boakye wasn’t impressed with his performances as he was unable to achieve his target set for the season.
“I was unable to achieve my target this season” – Boakye told Angel TV.
“My goal was to make 20 assists but I could only make 12 out of the 28 games I played for the club. I could not achieve my aim”
Boakye is set to continue his football career outside the shores of the country as he’s joining Austrian side Wolfsberger for the upcoming season.
