Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus was on target for Dutch side Ajax in their 4-1 humbling of Bundesliga II side Paderborn on Saturday.
Kudus, 20, scored Ajax’s second goal in their massive win over the German side, taking his pre-season goal tally to 2.
Ivory Coast striker Sebastien Haller broke the virginity of the game, scoring from a Dusan Tadic pass before Kudus doubled the lead after beautifully controlling another Tadic pass before rounding up the Paderborn goalie to slot home.
Brazilian Danilo made it 3-0 after the break before Paderborn pulled one back through veteran defender Uwe Hünemeier.
Forward Zakaria Labyad then restored Ajax’s 3 goal lead with a rebounded penalty.
A week ago, the 20-year-old Ghanaian scored Ajax’s only goal in their 1-1 draw with Quick’20.
The Dutch Eredivisie side is intensifying their preparations for the season and Kudus is expected to play a huge role in manager Erik Ten Haag’s side after a good first season.
