The Ministry of Youth and Sports has felicitated Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku on his appointed as the new President of the Union of West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone B.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss was unanimously approved as the new leader of the regional body by the all seven member associations during the Wafu Zone B 14th General Assembly in Accra on Saturday.

The 49-year-old Kurt Okraku takes charge following the decision of Niger’s Football Chief Djibrilla Hima Hamidou, to step down from the position, one year before the end of his mandate.

In their congratulatory letter, the Sports Ministry also wished Kurt Okraku well in his new role.
