Black Starlets head coach Ben Fokuo has revealed the ‘low mood’ in camp following their exit in the ongoing WAFU U-17 Cup of Nations in Togo.
Ghana on Tuesday crashed out of the tournament after a painful 3-1 loss to Cote D’Ivoire at the stad de Kugue.
They needed just a point to advance to the semi finals of the competition.
But the team lacked the cutting edge to win the tie.
In the wake of their disappointing showing at the tournament, Fokuo explained the mood in camp in an interview with ghanafa.org.
“The players are disappointed and I think that is football. They were behind us hoping we win and make the country proud and that was what we were also hoping to do by qualifying for the AFCON and God willing for the World Cup but it didn’t happen”
