Young Apostles announced their intentions for this seasons league with a massive win in Zone 1 of the Division One League, grabbing a 3-1 win over Nkoranza Warriors on Sunday.
Head coach Ernest Akowuah was welcomed with a win in what appears a charged season for the side.
Meanwhile former Black Stars midfielder, Gargo Mohammed began life at Steadfast with defeat in his first game in charge.
Gargo joined Steadfast before the start of the season but lost away to Mighty Royals in additional time courtesy by Oduro Gideon.
However, Gargo says he is ready to make an impression in the second tie of Ghana Football.
Young Apostles were handed their emphatic win over Nkuranza Worriors through Hakeem Mohammed, Samuel Norgbey and Raymond Anokye Asante with Ebenezer Kwaku Seyyah getting a consolation late in the game.
Former Premier League campaigners B. A United stumbled against Berekum Arsenal at the Golden City Park.
B. A hoped to continue from where they left off last season but their new campaign in defeat after Joseph Ansah scored the only goal in the match with Arsenals fighting B. A United tooth and nail for all three points.
WA Suntaa and Gbewaa FC shared the points in their first match of the season with the home side starting off stronger and had many chances but only scoring one of them by way of Issahaku Hakeem in the 54th minute.
Gbewaa FC fought back harder to earn an equalizer to save the game in the 3rd minute of added time courtesy Umar Alhassan’s strike.
Nsoatreman FC grabbed a perfect start to their season with a 0-1 away victory over Bofokwa Tano, while Unity FC earned a draw at Paga Crocodile.
Tamale City’s encounter with Kintampo FC has been moved to Tuesday while Real Tamale United vs Techima City game was postponed.
