Swedish third-tier side have announced the signing of Ghanaian attacker Frederick Ofori Acheampong ahead of the January transfer window.

Ofori signed a two-year deal with the club after a short spell with Västra Frölunda.

A statement on the club website confirmed the signing of the Ghanaian attacker.

“We are extremely happy to present the highly coveted striker Frederick Ofori Acheampong!

“Frederick spent last season in the successful club Västra Frölunda, division 2, where he scored goals for the club. Now his career in FC Trollhättan continues for at least 2 years.

Coach William is very pleased with the recruitment:

“We are very pleased to have managed to join Ofori in the competition with a number of other clubs. With Frederick, we get a player with an extremely professional attitude to his football and constantly wants to develop. He is a very skilled forward and a constant threat going forward and we have high hopes that he will help the team get to the next level “.

He previously featured for two Croatian clubs NK Sesvete and NK Dugopolje before leaving for Sweden in 2017.

Acheampong is the younger brother of Anderlecht’s winger Frank Acheampong and a playing mate to Nasiru Mohammed of BK Hacken at Rainbow FC in Kumasi.
He is a product of Rainbow FC (now Star Madrid FC).
