Former Asante Kotoko Head coach Didi Dramani is positive the Black Stars will  qualify to the 2021 AFCON tournament to be staged in Cameroon despite the defeat to Sudan on Tuesday.

Coach CK Akonnor and his charges lost 1-0 to their Sudanese counterparts on Tuesday in a reverse fixture of the AFCON Qualifier after whipping them in the first leg here in Ghana by 2-0 last week..

Speaking on Accra-based FM Hot FM, Coach Dramani is optimistic that despite the loss to Sudan, the Black Stars will still make it to the upcoming CAF competition.

“Ghana will surely qualify to AFCON despite lost to Sudan Tuesday, we should not blame the coach we should support him for him.

“We should build the team around the experience players in the team like the Wakasu, Dede Ayew, John Boye, Jordan Ayew etc for us to get a strong team. Building a team is a gradual process we should take time for C K Akonnor.”

Ghana leads the Group C chart with nine points after playing four matches in the ongoing campaign.
