Attacker Kevin Prince Boateng scored to propel  AC Monza to register their first win in the Serie B.

Boateng scored from the spot to help his club beat Cittadella by 1-2 on Saturday.

Monza took the lead through the former Ghana international in the 10th minute after his side got a penalty through a hand ball in the box from their opponents.

Striker Christian Gytkjaer doubled Monza’s lead in the 17th minutes finishing home a beautiful team move.

The game ended 2-1 for AC Monza after the home side pulled one back on the 27th minute.

Boateng has now scored two goals for the club since joining them at the beginning of the season.

Monza are 10th on the league table with six points to show after five games.
