Ghanaian attacker Prince Boateng scored his first Serie B goal for AC Monza despite his side’s 1-2 defeat at home to Chievo Verona on Saturday.

The former Barcelona forward netted his debut goal for the club converting from the spot on the 29th minute to hand his side the lead.

Filip Dordevic drew the visitors level in the 49th minute, before adding his second on the 64th minute.

Both sides were reduced to ten men,with Monza’s Antonini Barilla sent off in the 43rd minute. Mattia Viviani was shown the marching orders with seven minutes left.

AC Monza are 15th on the Serie B table with three points to show after four games.
