Asante Kotoko are on the verge of signing former Arsenal midfielder, Emmanuel Frimpong ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League.
According to reports, the Porcupines have reached an agreement with the player and he could sign a deal in the coming days.
Frimpong is said to have conducted his medical examination on Friday with the club as he looks to relaunch his career.
The player is said to have bought into the project presented to him by the club and could join them in the coming days.
Despite hanging up his boot in 2019 after struggling with injury concerns, the 28 year- old set to make sensational return to active football.
Frimpong, who came through Arsenal’s youth academy, made just six appearances during his time at the Emirates Stadium before he joined Barnsley in January 2014.
The Ghanaian last played for Ermis Aradippou in 2017. Heh had spells Russia, Sweden and Cyprus.
Emmanuel Frimpong could become the fourth signing of Asante Kotoko following the capturing of Patrick Asmah from Atlanta, Yussif Mubarick and Emmanuel Keyekeh.
