C K Akonnor took risk by handing some debutant their by putting them straight into the starting line up.

Footballmadeinghana rated the performance of the Black Stars players by (10).

Lawrence Ati-Zigi (GK) (3)- Could have done better with Mali first goal. Can’t fault him for the second amd third goal. Failed to command his backline.

Tarique Fosu (5) – Despite been played  out of his favourite position. Tarique Fosu was impressive for Ghana. Showed a lot of glimpse and promise.

Kassim Nuhu Adams (5) – Failed to command his backline and was left expose. Wasn’t at his best together with his defensive partner.

Nicholas Opoku  (4)- Was decent throughout his stay on the pitch. Won almost all his aerial duels. Fall short in organising the backline.

Gideon Mensah  (3) – Started slowly and could have done better to prevent Mali first goal. Defensively he was very poor. The Malians took Advantage of his weakness to attak more on his side.

Alexander Djiku  (4) – Took him a while before settling in the game. Great debut for the French born midfielder. Well composed and rarely put his foot wrong in the game.

Bernard Mensah (5) – He was Ghana’s brightest player throughout his stay on the pitch. Helped the team in both defensive and attack. His ball circulation was on spot.

Thomas Teye Partey (5) – Was quite and played it save. Didn’t get himself involved in the game. Improved in the second half but couldn’t match the pace of the Malians.

Eugene Ansah  (2) – Disappointing debut by the attacker. Was invisible throughout his stay on the attack. Contributed nothing on the  attack.

Andre Morgan Ayew (C) (4)- The skipper was largely unimpressive in the game. Got his decision making very wrong. Raised his performance in the second half but wasn’t enough.

Jordan Ayew (4) – Just like his brother, Jordan wasn’t much involve in the game. Contributed in the team build up but couldn’t do much on the attack.

Substitute

Kamaldeen Sulemana  (3) – Impressive cameo by the Nordsjaelland attacker. Brought power and energy in the game. He was unlucky not to get a penalty after he was brought in the penalty box. Showed what to expect from him in the years to come.

Emmanuel Lomotey (2) – Not a debut to remember for the Amiens midfielder. He look lost in the 3-5-2 formation. Couldn’t make any impact in the game.

Caleb Ekuban  (2) – Was forced to draw deep due to the Malians dominance in the game. He looked threatening with the ball.
