Bernhard Lippert is set to watch his first Black Stars since his appointment as the new Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The 58-year-old will be in attendance today when the four-time African champions face Mali at 5pm today in Antalya, Turkey.
The international friendly forms part of the team’s preparations for the AFCON qualifier against Sudan.
Ghana are currently leading the AFCON 2022 group F qualifiers with six points while Mali are topping group A with four points.
Bernhard, a FIFA expert in instructing and training Coaches has already met with the Technical Team of the Black Stars, headed by former Ghana captain Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
He met the leadership of the GFA in Antalya for the first time to fraternize and discuss among others, his vision for Ghana football.
Mr. Lippert in his capacity as the head of the Technical Directorate will formulate guidelines, strategies and policies for the training and technical development of coaches in Ghana.
He has also been tasked to provide advice to the Executive Council on coaching and technical development matters in general, and the supervision of national football team coaches, to which the Technical Director may be assigned by the Association.
