Division One League side BYF Academy have secured a water sponsorship deal with Mayoap Company Ltd, producers of Top Hills Ice Mineral Water, the club has announced.
The water producing company based in Bekwai with their headquarters in Accra will provide the football club with several bags of drinking water for the 2020/21 football season.
The club announced the deal on their official twitter handle on Thursday afternoon.
“Happy to announce that we have entered into a partnership agreement with Mayoap Company Limited, producers of Top Hills Ice Mineral Water. They will provide us with water for the 2020/21 season. We are grateful to Mayoap Company Ltd for this. … more to come,’ the club tweeted.
The burden of spending hundreds of cedis on water for players during training and matches on the Zone One-based Division One League club will hence be mitigated with this new sponsorship.
The deal will also make Top Hills Ice Mineral Water the official drinking water to be sold at the Nana Gyamfi Park during Division One League home matches as well as all other home games of the club.
Speaking to footballmadeinghana.com, Direcyor of Football for the club Alex Twumasi Danquah commended Mayoap Company Ltd for the sponsorship and assured them.they will have value for their partnership.
“We are happy to have secured this deal. It will go a long way to help us financially,” he said.
“Every season, we spend a lot on water as the players take in a lot during training and matches.
“So to have such a sponsorship, we are delighted,” he added.
“This will also make them the official water product to be sold on the pitch during our home matches and I can assure all that they will have value for this sponsorship,” he added.
BYF Academy gained promotion into the Division One League in 2016 after a wonderful campaign in the Zonal Division Two League.
