Newly signed AshantiGold SC attacker Jacob Appau-Asiedu has tipped the club to do well in the upcoming season as they compete in the domestic competitions as well as in the CAF Confederation Cup.
His belief stems from the players recruited by the club and how the team building process has been so far.
The Miners have made wholesale changes in the playing body after losing out on players such as Shafiu Mumuni, Latif Anabila, Frank Boateng, Mubarik Alhassan among others.
In a bid to rebuild, as many as 10 new players have been signed as new Coach Roberto Landi looks to put together a very competitive squad.
Speaking in the aftermath of a pre-season friendly against Asokwa Deportivo, the former Ghana youth player said “our preparations have gone on smoothly, since the first day we reported for camp, we have been training every morning and evening”.
“The Coach has been working around the clock and I believe we will fare well in Africa,” he acknowledged.
AshGold lost by a lone goal in their friendly with Asokwa Deportivo yesterday.
