Medeama SC have completed the signing of former Free State Stars striker Abdul Basit, Footballmadeinghana.com can exclusively report.

The 25 year old put pen to paper on long term deal with the Mauve and Yellows on Monday after a fruitful negotiations.

He joins Medeama on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Lebanese club Tadamom Sour two years ago.

The budding foward was close to joining Legon Cities earlier this year but the deal fell through after failing to reach an agreement with the club.

Head coach of Medeama Samuel Boadu recommended the player to the club after watching him in a select side game at Aboabo.

Basit is seen as a potential replacement for Prince Opoku Agyemang who is on the verge of leaving the club.

He has previously featured for Swedish club Gefle, Frej and also had a stint with Turkish club Dardanel Sk.
