Ghana striker John Antwi will have to wait a while longer for his dream Black Stars debut as he has been ruled out of the two friendly matches this month.
The Senior National Football team will face Mali on October 9 and then Qatar three days later in Antalya, Turkey.
Antwi was called up as part of Coach C.K Akonnor’s squad but has had to withdraw due to issues with his paperwork.
The Pyramid’s FC top marksman cannot make it to Turkey following difficulties to secure a visa to travel to Antalya.
His work permit has also expired and would need not less than two weeks to secure a new one, effectively ruling him out of the two matches.
This comes as a big blow to a player eager to prove his worth in Ghana colors.
Meanwhile, Akonnor has handed a late call up to Turkey based Caleb Ekuban (Trabzonspor). Ekuban has been drafted in to replace John Antwi.
