Asante Kotoko have reportedly failed to comply with COVID-19 safety protocols during their first training session ahead of the 2020/21 football season.

Gariba Raubil, a journalist who was present at their Adako Jackie training ground on Wednesday observed the disturbing development.

He raised the following concerns on his social media page; “Here at Adako Jackie for Kotoko first day of training.

-Not a single player or technical staff put on a face mask.
-No buckets for washing of hands by anybody here. No sanitizers. Nothing

Simply no respect for Covid-19 protocols and this is serious” he tweeted.

It can be recalled that Government recently lifted the ban on all contact sports.

Even when players were permitted to return to their respective training grounds, clubs were bound by strict safety protocols.

It remains to be seen what type of disciplinary action, if any, the Porcupine Warriors  stand to face if found guilty of breaking the rules.
