Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has congratulated Leicester defender Daniel Amartey following his return to competitive action for the first time in two years.

The 25 year old has been sidelined since suffering a career threatening injury against West Ham in October 2018 after an innocuous challenge with Michail Antonio.

Amartey however made his Premier League return in grand style as he helped the Leicester City to shock Manchester City 5-2 at the Etihad on Sunday.

“Patience, Character and positive attitude is an important aspect of this our trade called football… it’s been 2 years…welcome back bro, keep your head, I thank God for your life and career @DanAmartey” Gyan tweeted.

Amartey is currently under contract at the King Power Stadium until 2022.
