The Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah has praised the initial efforts of Ghana Football Association president Kurt E.S. Okraku to return the country’s most loved sports to its rightful place.

The Sports Minister believes but for Coronavirus, the initiatives of the Ghana FA boss were yielding dividends and gradually restoring the lost love and following for Ghana Football.

Kurt Okraku was elected into office in October 2019 after campaigning with a promise of creating wealth and igniting passion for the game and its followers.

After mounting the seat, he kept true to his word and launched initiatives geared towards achieving this particular goal. The chips were beginning to fall in place until the Coronavirus pandemic struck and disrupted the calendar and programmes.

Speaking in an interview with Adom TV’s Fire for Fire programme, the Sports Minister says, Kurt Okraku who is like a brother to him has showed very promising signs at the early stages of his 4 year mandate.

Isaac Asiamah is therefore rallying support for the top football executive to deliver.

“Kurt is like a brother to me, he is working, he is bringing back the love for football. He is doing his best. For me I will support him any day, any hour, any minute,” the Sports Minister said.

“They are working, the coronavirus affected their plans, but if I look at his vision for Ghana Football, and the plans he has put in place, I strongly believe that if we all support Kurt, he will deliver,” he concluded.
