Former Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association Nii Eddie Doku is set to face the Ethics Committee of the federation over bribery claims and abuse of position.

Following the Anas Exposé on June 6, 2018, the former top official of the FA was sighted in a video receiving monies alleged to be bribes by the investigator Anas Armeyaw Anas.

Eddie Doku who was the Chairman of the Black Stars B Management Committee, was, according to the investigator, bribed to influence the coaches of the team to get Hearts of Oak player Patrick Razak into the team, when in actual fact, the player was already a member of the team.

Doku who doubled as the Chairman of the Greater Accra Football Association has since been charged by the Ethics Committee of the FA with bribery and abuse of position and is set to appear before the Ethics Committee.

The Charge Sheet of the GFA posits that Eddie Doku’s conduct was an Abuse of position contrary to Article 25(1) of the GFA Code of Ethics, 2019.

The charge adds that Eddie Doku, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Black Stars ‘B’ Management Committee did abuse his position for his own aims and gains by accepting cash from a “Tiger Eye PI” official to influence the selection of Patrick Razak into the Black Stars ‘B’ team by virtue of his influential position as the Chairman Committee.

Doku has until September 24, 2020 to respond to the charges either in writing or to meet the Ethics Committee in person to respond to the claims.
