AshantiGold Sporting Club are on the verge of completing the signing of Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed in the current transfer window.
Footballmadeinghana.com understands the two clubs have reached agreement for the transfer of the player after protracted negotiation.
Insiders have revealed the deal could be finalized in the coming days.
Mohammed will replace Shafiu Mumuni who left the club after refusing contract extension.
The club‘s technical team sees Yahya Mohammed as the perfect replacement for Shafiwu as they prepare for the CAF Confederation Cup in the coming season.
Yahaya 32, scored 11 goals in 15 appearances in the canceled 19/20 Ghana Premier League for Aduana Stars.
He has previously featured for Asante Kotoko and Amidaus Professional.
Yahaya Mohammed was handed his debut call up to the Ghana’s senior national team – Black Stars – in March this year, ahead of the 2022 AFCON qualifier with Sudan.
But the game was postponed following the the outbreak of the COVID-19.
