Former Asante Kotoko coach Isaac Opele Boateng is baffled with the way Accra Hearts of Oak are loosing their key players in recent years.

The club on Friday announced they have parted ways with five players namely Joseph Esso, Benjamin Agyare, Christopher Bonney, Bernard Arthur and Burkinabe striker Abubakar Troare after deciding not against renewing their contract.

Many have questioned the club’s decision to allow Joseph Esso to leave due to the qualities he possessed.

Coach Opele Boateng is the latest to question the club’s decision to let go the former Ebusua Dwards player maker.

The outspoken coach took to his social media handle to express his displeasure about the news.

“Feels unfortunate to hear Mighty @HeartsOfOakGH have parted ways with Joseph Esso.

“I wish I had known this to advice Esso not to leave, i.e. irrespective of his stand.

“Unless he has a contract abroad I think he should have stayed with the Phobians,” he added.

Esso is the latest to leave the club on free following the recent departure of Inusah Musah, Thomas Abbey, Samudeen Ibrahim, Leonard Tawiah and Ahitey Ollenu.
