Aduana stars striker Bright Adjei believes he is ready to feature for the senior national team, the Black Stars.
The prolific forward who has played for Ghana’s U23 side and the local Black Stars is aiming for his first call-up under Coach C.K Akonnor.
The 48 year old tactician has already reiterated his commitment to given deserving home-based a chance to prove themselves.
The former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko trainer named as many four local based players in his maiden squad for Ghana’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games with Sudan which was suspended due to Coronavirus outbreak.
“It is the dream of any player to serve his nation and also an honour to serve your country. I have played for the U-23 and the local Black Stars so I think this is the time to play for the Black Stars” Bright said in an interview with Kumasi based Wontumi FM.
“It is about time I work hard to get a call into the national team under CK Akonnor when football bounces back in the country. It is not over for me yet, all I have to do is to work hard and score the goals and I know if am able to do that I will be invited by Akonnor” he continued
“I want to emphasized, when football returns, I will wear the Black Stars jersey,” Bright concluded.
