Augustine Oppong, the staunch Kotoko fan who lost an eye in the shooting incident at the Baba Yara Stadium in January this year has vowed to continue going to the stadium when the new season resumes.

It can be recalled that middle age man was shot at close range by a Police officer during supporters agitation following the Porcupine Warriors’ Premier League defeat against Berekum Chelsea.

The unfortunate incident left four pallets of rubber bullets in his face which required surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital to replace his lost eye with an artificial one.

“I didn’t regret after losing my eye because I love the club a lot” he said during an interview with Angel FM in Kumasi.

Asked if he will go to the stadium when the Ghana Premier League commences, he said, “I will definitely go, even if I had lost my leg I would have hired a car to the stadium” he said.
