Thomas Partey’s potential switch to Arsenal is on hold due to Atlético Madrid’s transfer demands.
FootballMadeInGhana understands that both clubs are locked in stalemate on negotiations for the 27 year old midfielder.
The Gunners are only willing to €25m alongside including Matteo Guendouzi in a part-exchange deal.
But Atleti will not be drawn into any negotiations and will only sell if the midfielder’s €50m release clause is activated.
As things stand, the chances of the deal happening looks very unlikely unless the English side improve their offer.
The stalemate favours the Madrid-based club who are keen to tie down Partey to a new and improved long-term deal, having become a key part of Diego Simeone’s side in the last couple of years.
