Former New Edubiase foward Abdul Basit Adam has emerged on the radar of Premier League side Ashantigold footballmadeinghana.com understands.

Basit 25, has been without a club since terminating his contract with Lebanese club Tadamom Sour two years ago.

He was close to joining Legon Cities earlier this year but the deal fell through after failing to reach agreement with the club.

Footballmadeinghana.com understand  Ashantigold CEO Frimpong has had talks with the player trying to convince him to sign for the club.

He was in Kumasi over the weekend and watched the player in a select side game at Aboabo.

The CEO sees him as a perfect replacement for Shafiu Mumuni should the club failed to tie the Local Black Stars to a new contract.

Basit Adam has previously featured for Free State Stars, Giresunspor, Gefle If and IK frej.
