The Ghana Football Association is working on securing a special partner for women and juvenile football, FA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo has revealed.
According to him, the country’s football governing body remains committed to developing women’s football and football at the grassroots level as well.
His comments come in the wake of the Ghana FA announcing a partnership deal with Macron Ghana to become the official match ball partner for the Ghana Premier League, the FA Cup and the National Division One League.
The deal worth GH₵1.6 million will see Koreen Galaka Enterprise (official dealers of Macron Products in Ghana and West Africa) supply thousands of footballs and bibs to local clubs.
The sidelining of women’s football and juvenile football from the deal has led many to raise concerns and ask further questions.
Prosper Harrison Addo has however assured that such a package is in the offing for the aforementioned sectors.
