Board Member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Joseph Yaw Adu has vehemently denied the report of being given the role as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club.

This comes after report went rife indicating that he’s has been appointed as the new CEO of Asante Kotoko, replacing George Amoako who was sacked together with his management team.

The former Sports Director at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is one of 12 persons appointed to serve on a new board formed by His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

According to him there is no scintilla of truth in the report and urged the fans of the club to threat it with contempt.

” I’m surprised to hear this, I’m still a board member so how come there are saying I have been appointed as the club CEO. Take such news as false news”, Mr. Joseph Yaw Adu told Kumasi FM.

Meanwhile, the board of directors will in the coming weeks appoint a new CEO for to steer affairs of the club.
