Former Asante Kotoko Coach Malik Jabir says it is absolutely not advisable for football to resume anytime soon.

According to Jabir- who also played for the club- the country’s coronavirus case count which is on an upward trajectory makes its unsuitable for football to resume now.

Football competitions in the country were suspended by the Ghana Football Association in March as a follow-up move to government’s directive of banning all forms of public/social gathering due to CoronaVirus outbreak.

With government gradually easing COVID-19 imposed restrictions; there have been calls from a section of the football fraternity for football to resume imminently.

However, Malik Jabir has shot down such calls insisting it is unsafe to resume football in the country now. He rather suggested a December return date as ideal.
