CEO of Ghana Premier League side Eleven Wonders, Albert Commey says he understands Government decision to extend the ban on all sporting activities until at least 31st July, 2020.

President Nana Akufo-Addo-Addo announced the directive during his 10th address on the measures taken against the spread of the coronavirus on Sunday 31 May 2020.

Reacting to the latest development in an interview on Happy FM, the experienced football administrator said although everyone is itching for the return of football there is the need to lend support to government during this trying times.

“Coronavirus is a very dangerous pandemic and you can’t blame President Akufo-Addo for the measures put in place because he is the one who is briefed from all the regions on what is really happening. So you have no choice than to accept it whether you like it or not” he said.

‘As football people, our wish is to restart the season as soon as possible to offset some of the financial burden as a result of this health crisis but God knows best and we should all play our role in helping to curtail the spread of the virus”

The league has been brought to a halt since March due to the pandemic with some suggesting the campaign be cancelled.
