Harrison Afful, Patrick Nyarko and Latif Blessing have been named among Africa’s all-time best XI in Major League Soccer history.

The Ghanaian trio deservedly earned their spots in the list compiled by MLSsoccer.com following their swashbuckling performances for their respective clubs.

Afful has been a key cog for Columbus Crew since joining them from Esperance de Tunis in 2015. The right back has chalked up 119 appearances during his time with the Gold and Blacks.

Patrick Nyarko made his mark in the MLS playing for Chicago Fire. He also had a brief stint with D.C United. Nyarko made a total of 236 appearances for both clubs.

Meanwhile Latif Blessing has emerged as one of the most important players at LAFC. The versatile attacker has been the brightest spot since the California based club made their MLS debut. The 23-year joined LAFC from Sporting Kansas City, and has made 89 MLS appearances.

The squad also includes Nigerian legendary striker Obafemi Martins and Sierra Leonean forward Kei Kamara.
