Ghanaians have taken to social media to pay tribute to ex-international Anthony Baffoe who celebrates his 55th birthday today.

The well wishes have been pouring in on Twitter since morning as the nation celebrates one of its illustrious sons.

Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor led the way with a special message to the Deputy General Secretary of CAF.

The Ghana FA also tweeted in celebration of the former Fortuna DΓΌsseldorf star.

Baffoe won 25 caps for Ghana and scored one goal in a storied career playing as a centre-back.

He also played for several clubs including Β FC Cologne, Metz and Nice in his club career.
