Veteran coach Bashir Hayford says he remains hopeful that he will be offered the role of Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Hayford is among the three local coaches confirmed to have applied for the vacant job.

Three other foreign coaches have also expressed their interest in the Job.

According to the former Asante Kotoko coach, he is praying the Ghana Football Association will hand him the job as he is confident he can execute the job perfectly.

“I’m praying to God that the Ghana Football Association will give me a chance to serve as a technical director”, He told West FM in an interview.

He continued, “If I get the job, I will be able to meet all the coaches in Ghana as well as National teams and also our Clubs on how to turn things around to develop our football in the country”.

The technical directorate job at the FA has been vacant since the departure of Oti Akenten two months ago.
