Outgoing Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Francis Oti Akenten has named Mas’ud Didi Dramani as the best person to replace him.
Oti Akenteng who served as the GFA head of technical directorate from March 2006 has vacated the position following the expiry of his contract with the GFA.
He has however identified the former Asante Kotoko Coach who’s now working with Danish Club FC Nordsjaelland as an ideal replacement.
Certain connoisseurs within the football fraternity have suggested an expatriate coach to fill that role as the locals are incapable of excelling in such roles.
Oti Akenteng has however shot down such calls.
Speaking to Accra-based Angel 102.9FM, the experienced coach said he doesn’t support the hiring of an expatriate for the position.
He went further to suggest that there are very competent indigenous FIFA trained coaches who can easily handle the position and specifically mentioned Masud Didi Dramani as the best choice.
“Didi Dramani is the man on top of my succession list and I believe he is best suited for the job” he said.
Didi Dramani is a two time league winner with Asante Kotoko and also a FIFA/CAF coach instructor.
