The board of Accra Hearts of Oak will take punitive measures against any person(s) responsible for the club being deducted points in the 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season.
Hearts of Oak are set to be docked points for fielding an unqualified player in their premier league encounter with Elmina Sharks.
The case against Hearts is yet to be adjudicated by the Ghana FA’s disciplinary committee.
Before this happens, board member Elvis Herman Hesse has warned that they would punish anyone who’s actions or inactions caused the points deduction.
He told Accra based Happy FM in an interview that “Personally I was vocal on these issue at the Board meeting”.
“We can’t risk our lives traveling with the team across the country and then due to the negligence of one person the team will lose points. Whoever is held responsible will be penalized”.
Elvis Hesse is the current chairman of Hearts of Oak’s national supporters group known as the National Chapters Committee.
He has refuted claims of division among the NCC.
“It’s not true that there is division among the supporters group. It’s just differences in opinions”.
“We are working to ensure Hearts of Oak gets back to it’s glorious days” he concluded.
