Former Dreams FC players join fight against Covid-19

Ex- Players of Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC have joined in the fight against the deadly Novel Corona Virus.

John Antwi of Egyptian top flight side Pyramids FC, former skipper Leonard Owusu Tawiah of Vancouver WhiteCaps and Ginaud Aruna who plays for Spanish side UD Montijo have all been captured in videos highlighting about Covid-19 and how one can stay safe.

The current statistics reveal close to 400,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 17, 147 deaths so far. Ghana’s rate of infections has shot up overnight with 52 cases now confirmed and 2 deaths occurring as a result.

The dire nature of the situation has led to some strict measures being implemented by government which includes shutting down of airports and borders for human travel and also the suspension of social gatherings and sporting activities for a month.

John Antwi in his video advised that all stay calm and practice safe habits like regular and proper hand washing as well as use of prescribed sanitizers for hands.

 

Leonard Owusu also urged everyone to stay safe and stay home in such daring and disturbing times.

For Ginaid Aruna, he encouraged all and sundry to follow the safety protocols shared by authorities.
