Vancouver Whitecaps newboy Leonard Owusu tastes win on MLS debut

Ghanaian midfielder Leonard Owusu made his debut in the MLS for Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Sunday.

The former Dreams FC skipper made a brief cameo as the Blue and Whites edged La Galaxy 1-0 at the Dignity Health Park.

Despite coming on in the 84th minute, the 22 year old showed great promise that will excite the Whitecaps fan base.

He joined the Canada-based outfit in January from Israeli Premier League side FC Ashdod on three-year contract with an option for another year.
