New Ghana coach CK Akonnor has given an insight on how he intends to deal with the issue of indiscipline that has been a reoccurring theme with the senior national team.
In addition to marshaling an amazingly talented player pool, he has to manage personalities and egos that are some of the biggest on the continent.
And Akonnor is under no illusion about the task ahead with memories of the debacle of the World Cup in Brazil still fresh in Ghanaian minds.
However, the gaffer is confident he has the character to instill discipline in his side and ensure everyone is under control.
“Whatever happened in Brazil is gone but that is why I’m a manager and as I told you, one of the things discussed was mainly off the field issues so it’s been part of it, no doubt” Akonnor said.
“Definitely, they embrace the truth that there must be a change. I’m looking forward to [meeting] them. When they get here, we will see how it goes but everything is under control”
