WAFA SC and Hearts of Oak played out a dire 0-0 draw in Sogakope on match four of the Ghana Premier Lesson on Wednesday.
Determined to make up for their dropped points against Elmina Sharks over the weekend, Head coach Prosper Narteh made two changes to his starting XI.
The Academy lads were the better side early in the game with a corner and two shots on target in the opening five minutes.
However, the Phobians gradually worked themselves into the rhythm of the match and posed some problems for WAFA’s defense before the half ended 0-0.
Neither sides could find the breakthrough in second half due to a combination of profligacy and some resolute defending.
In the end, a draw is probably a fair reflection of the game and both coaches would be happy with the point.
Hearts of Oak will next face Liberty in an Accra derby in Dansoman while WAFA square off with Inter Allies at the Accra Sport Stadium.
