It was wonderful at the Nana Ameyaw Park as Eleven Wonders made Aduana Stars taste their first defeat of the season.
Eleven Wonders prior to the game had failed to score in their first three games and had the odds hugely stacked against them.
However, they scripted the perfect underdog story as Godfred Asamoah who made his first start of the season scored the first-half penalty to hand the home side them a precious 1 nil win.
Eleven Wonders made three changes to the squad that lost to AshantiGold SC last weekend and apart from Asamoah, Prince Baffoe and Abdul Mugeez Zakaria were also handed their maiden appearance.
Aduana Stars also rang in 3 changes as Musah Amevor was given his full debut alongside Benjamin Owusu and Alfred Opoku who got their very first starting roles against their former club.
The only goal of the encounter came on the stroke of halftime through Asamoah from the spot.
After a resolute defensive display, Eleven Wonders held on to record their first win of the campaign.
The defeat sees Aduana Stars’ title push suffer a jolt while for Eleven Wonders it boosts their survival hopes.
