Liberty Professionals recorded a hard fought 2-1 victory over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday.
The visitors began the match on the front foot with Ampadu’s left foot effort from about 6-yards blocked by a last ditch tackle.
However the first half was a game of few chances as it eventually petered out to a 0-0 draw.
After a barren first 45 minutes, Both teams found their scoring touch in an enthralling second half battle.
Seidu Abubakar broke the deadlock for the hosts before Alhassan Mubarak restored parity for the visitors.
Just as the game looked destined to end in a draw, Rudolf Mensah scored in stoppage time to ensure Liberty bagged their first win of the season after three draws in their opening three games.
Meanwhile, Dwarfs Coach Robert Asibu is now under immense pressure after losing all their matches so far.
Liberty Professionals will host Hearts of Oak’s at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park in their next match while Dwarfs travel to Kumasi to face Asante Kotoko.
