Legon Cities drew goalless with Ashantigold in the Match day four of  Ghana Premier League encounter honored at the Accra Sports Stadium.

None of the clubs was able to find the back of net as the home side’s winless run to the season continues.

Ashantigold could have taken the lead in as early as 8th minute, but Shafiu Mumuni failed to capitalize from a defensive blunder.

Emmanuel Owusu came close again 2 minutes later, but his low shot was dealt by the goalkeeper Fatau Dauda who was facing his former side.

The visitors controlled the entire first half but couldn’t penetrate through ehat looked an impervious Legon Cities defense.

Legon Cities improved in the second half but were still made to chase the ball by the Miners. Midfielder James Akaminko came close for Ashantigold but his long range shot went wide.

None of the sides was able to find the back of net as referee sounded his whistle for the end of game.

AshantiGold despite the draw maintain their unbeaten run and are yet to concede a goal so far this campaign. They have now accumulated 10 points from a possible 12 while Legon Cities picked another point as they continue to chase their first win.
