WAFA SC maintained their unbeaten start to this season’s campaign after holding Elmina Sharks to a lacklustre 0-0 draw at the Paa Kwesi Ndoum Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The hosts dominated the early exchanges and the first real chance of the game fell to Benjamin Tweneboah who headed wide with WAFA keeper completely beaten.
Coach Yaw Acheampong was forced into an early substitution after Suraj Ibrahim wobbled off injured and was replaced by Fumador.
The home side continued to batter the visitors with some delightful display but failed to create any clear-cut goal scoring opportunity before centre referee brought the first half to a close.
The second half was more of the same with both teams comfortable in possession without really creating any moments of real danger.
The match had little talking points to report and both sides will be happy to share the spoils.
The Academy lads have now amassed 7 points while the Sea Animals who are still winless after three games, pick up their second point of the campaign.
Sharks next travel to face Inter Allies on match day four while WAFA welcome Hearts of Oak at Sogakope in a mouthwatering encounter next weekend.
