Liberty Professionals halted Medeama SC’s winning run in the season following a hard fought 1-1 draw at Dansoman in the Ghana Premier League.
The Match Week 3 opener served a clash of two determined teams with a point to prove. Liberty needed their first win of the campaign, while table toppers Medeama needed to consolidate their position with a win.
After a goalless first half, Elvis Kyei Baffour put the homes side ahead in the 65th minute after converting from the spot. The attacker coolly slotted the ball towards the bottom right corner.

A quick Medeama break 14 minutes later saw second half substitute Nana Kofi Babil score to pull parity for his side. It was the youngster’s 2nd goal in the last two games and the league debutante is gradually shaping up to become his side’s super sub.
Nana Kofi Babil was eventually named the man of the match as it all ended 1-1 after 90 minutes.
The result sees Medeama still occupy top spot for now with 7 points while Liberty are still winless having amassed 3 points in their first 3 games.
