Ashantigold were held to a 1-1 draw against King Faisal in a friendly encounter at the Ofori Park at Obuasi.

A second half strike from Benjamin Eshun cancelled out Majid Haruna’s first half goal to ensure the spoil was shared.

Ashantigold started the game very well and could have taken the lead in the 8th minute, but Yussif Mubarak paried his shot wide.

Despite dominating the game, it was King Faisal who took the lead in the 38th minute.

Majid Haruna tapped in from close range to give the visitors the lead.

Ashantigold came from the recess looking more threatening as they chase for the equaliser.

Evans Obeng came close in the 62nd minute, but his shot was blocked by the King Faisal defense.

Ashantigold finally grabbed the equalizer in the 68th minute, Benjamin Eshun powerful shot at edge of the box ended at the back of the net.

Ashantigold huffed and puffed late in the game but couldn’t get the winner.
