Technical Director and head coach of BYF Academy Abdul Rahman Yakubu has commanded the Ghana Football Association for organising a coaching seminar for all coaches ahead of the start of the domestic football season.
The Technical Directorate of the GFA led a one-day coaching seminar at the Secretariat of the association for over 200 coaches spanning from the CAF License C holders to the A.
The exercise saw top coach-instructors like Augustine Addotey, Yusif Basigi, Kwasi Appiah and Kim Grant taking their colleagues through game preparation, tactical and technical build ups, as well as psychological preparations of teams.
Coach Abdul Rahman Yakubu who was excited after the exercise hailed the FA for the exercise but called for more.
“It was a good exercise. I was highly impressed. Even though these are not new things, it’s always good we are up to date and share the knowledge amongst ourselves for the development of the game,” he said after the seminar.
“I’ll entreat the FA to keep doing this to help the young trainers as well as keep those of us already in the system up to date,” he added.
Coach Abdul Rahman has been the technical director for the club since its establishment in 1996 and guided them to the Division One League in 2016.
